“Holy Spirit, breath of God,

come and light a fire of love,

love that welcomes truth and kindness,

love revealing God’s embrace of all.”

UPDATE: Reluctantly, we have had to cancel the July 29-31 Hosea Mountain Retreat. The October 14-16 retreat, however, will most certainly be held. Several people have already registered for that date, but some places are still open. We hope you can attend, and we look forward to seeing you then.

A retreat is a pilgrimage of the heart, a journey to an environment of beauty, peace, and tranquility in which to realize more fully God’s love for us.  It can be very healing and reaffirming to step away from the routine concerns and anxieties of everyday life in order to set time aside to listen for the movement of the Spirit in our lives.  The Hosea Retreats in Southern Vermont offer a unique environment for those in search of much needed rest and inspiration for body and soul.  Since 1990, Gregory Norbet and Kathryn Carrington have presented these retreats of spiritual deepening and Christian discipleship each year at the Landgrove Inn, in Landgrove, Vermont.

The October 2008 Retreat will be conducted by Gregory Norbet, Retreat Director and Composer and Director of the Hosea Ministry, accompanied by William Rich, Deacon, Preacher and Writer, along with Kathryn Carrington, Artist and Spiritual Director.  Retreat conferences and services of prayer are presented each day.  Seasoned spiritual seekers as well as those participating in a retreat for the first time are sure to find their reason for adventuring to this inviting setting of peace and beauty.

We invite you to attend this year’s Hosea Retreat.  Nestled along a country road in the Green Mountain National Forest not far the Benedictine Monastery of Weston Priory, the Inn is renowned for its New England farmhouse charm, its verdant setting and its gracious hospitality. A new post and beam Meeting House at pond’s edge provides a unique setting for the Hosea Retreat conferences and times of prayer.

Over the years participants have come from all over the US and Canada.  May we suggest you make your reservation early due to the popularity of the Hosea Retreats.  We so look forward to welcoming you with great joy!  We will pray for you as you “Go Up To The Mountains” of joy.
